I’d recommend this for the better iron player that wants a shorter (in length) driving iron. This is a 4-iron that has been bent down by an inch or so (stock is 20.5*). I was afraid of breaking the club if I took it any further, but she is definitely a rocket! All she needs is a new owner and grip change! Have you ever heard of the M-CGB game improvement irons from Taylormade? It was the brands first foray into premium, game-improvement irons and cost around $1400 when first launched. A buddy of mine happened to have a set of these and I joked that they were one of the ugliest clubs I had ever seen. He tossed me his 4 iron, told me to swing as I normally do and kind of fell in love. Usually a high draw ball flight, I haven’t hit a 4 iron so straight in my life. I quickly found a 4 iron head and mated her to the infamous Tour AD shaft off of a hybrid. It’s just a tad too short for my tastes, but after blasting away a few shots with it, I didn’t want to break up the sick setup.
